Alright, I may not drink soda pops... but this might just tempt me. After the amazing collaboration with Chanel's Great, Karl Lagerfeld, Diet Coke has once again scored big with the fashion crowd. The giant has partnered with American designer (and my fave) Diane Von Furstenberg, for its latest limited edition bottles.

I've already got myself Karl's bottles in Paris, next week in Vegas, I will definitely get my hands on Ms. Furstenberg's!

DVF & Diet Coke Collaboration available in selected DVF boutiques throughout the month of February. Proceeds going to the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health.

That's when I first heard about Azzedine Alaia, back in 1995, thanks to Cher Horowitz. Since then, I've grown out of my skater clothes (bye bye baggy cords and flannel shirts) and into delicately intricate dresses inspired by Alaia (I still got to work my butt off to have the budget for an actual one!).

Until the day I can actually afford an Alaia dress, I'll be watching Cher prancing around in hers over and over again... Rewind. Play. Rewind. Play.

Just in case you didn't get enough H&M from my previous post, here's some more, if not better. Marni for H&M. Yes. Uh-huh. You read right. Now drop your forks, cell phones and babies; I've got some pics for you on top of that!

I know the Versace for H&M like was all over the place and line-ups were getting longer and longer by the minute (some braving crazy rain and snow...). However, I have to say that I personally wasn't really impressed with the collection. I guess it's just not my style, that whole early 90's bombshell look. Marni, however, I can get on board with!

Note to self: must get hands on that flower necklace. Just one more month to wait... One more month... 'Til then, I'll be drooling all over my Macbook.

H&M Fashion Against Aids 2012

Every year, H&M comes out with a limited edition line raising funds and awareness to Aids. For its fifth collection, the Swedish brand seem to have traveled way to the West coast of California (and maybe Mexico too?). I'm not sure what the exact inspiration was behind it, but to me, it scream Coachella all over it. You know, the music festival....

With its boho-meet-psychadelic-meet-90's neons-meet-hippy-electro-chic looks, we will all be ready and decked out, laying down on the grass with our Hunters on and singing along to Radiohead, The Black Keys and Florence & The Machine. Oh, and how about that gin & juice with Snoop?

(The only thing I didn't care much for was the faux-tattoo pieces... You can find the same looks at Walmart on October 30th for much less...So I didn't bother showing them.)

Baume de Dalmatie is the latest cute and cool hand-cream from Miss Ferling, a French brand. The packaging, a fun-looking tartan-decorated cardboard tube containing a slim and petite 15 ml metallic tube, is attractive although the cream tube looks a bit reduced and makes you think that the cream better be ultra-concentrated to justify the down-size.

Described as a "spotted hand cream for velvety paws" the Baume is cool-looking because it indeed contains black spots on a white background. Those spots are actually miniature liquorice and lily pearls meant to be squished as you rub your hands together, releasing super moisturizing agents.

Some bloggers have it, most don't. I've been a fan of Miss A/P (also known as Bee) for quite a while now. Although I often admire, I rarely envy someone's closet. Bee however, has, in my opinion, the perfect "Ariane" closet. A little bit of retro, a hint of edgy, a touch of designer labels, mixed with high street commercial finds, a sprinkle of preppy and a ton of colors.

I've been back from Paris for almost a month now... Yet, I can't seem to be able to shake off that amazing feeling I had walking the streets with Boyfriend. That feeling of going somewhere without any specific destination, randomly stopping at cafes and bistros, going in and out of local shops, discovering new brands and artists. It's not that I want to forget about that feeling. I just thought that by now, life would go back to its normalcy and that I'd soon forget about how happy and carefree I felt... Et non, I still sometimes wakeup in the middle of the night thinking that I'm still in that little studio on Ile St-Louis and that in a couple of hours, when the sun rises, I will, once again, have the time of my life with Boyfriend and "live" in the "City of Lights" on more day.

Among all the wonderful new discoveries, one of them was Maje. Actually, to be honnest, I already knew of them from magazines and blogs, but walking in the Marrais boutique made me fall completely in love with this Parisian brand. Its simplicity, classic cuts and luxe fabrics in bold colors are exactly what the Parisian style signifies to me. A little bit madame, a little gamine, but all over chic.

I've always had such a fascination with the 60's; its fashion, its music, its evolution... From the end of the Fifties to early Seventies. From the Audrey Hepburn's Breakfast At Tiffany (not to mention Roman Holiday and all the other classics!) to Bianca Jagger's lamé Studio 54 dresses, I just get so inspired by those years.

My recent trip to Paris has definitely reignited that flame... The Brigitte Bardot-esque hair, the nude pout, the winged eyeliner, the stripes, the minis, the secretary blouses, the whool coats, the trenches, the Vespas.... I want them all.

My current job may only be a stepping stone to bigger projects... However, I must admit, I really do like what I do and there are definitely perks in working for such a great company. One of them being that I get to see what's coming in, months in advance (and mentally make a wishlist... which in the end, can also be a disadvantage; poor wallet).

On a recent business trip to Toronto, I got see (and smell) all the wonderful Holiday products from Jo Malone. From big sized candles (bigger than the original ones but smaller than the deluxe versions), a new Fragrance Chronicle box-set in English Pear & Freesia and other great pre-packaged gift sets, buying Holiday presents will never be so easy.

I'm personally so infatuated by the Roasted Chestnut Candle... Picture this: You, your better half, thick wool socks, hot cocoa and Miracle On 34th Street (or in my case, Home Alone). The blend of sweet-nutty and woodsy-fireplace-smell is exactly that; the perfect scent for a cozy winter night. Comforting and familiar, it's like a warm blanket to your senses.

As usual, quantities are limited, thus, I strongly suggest you call and put your name down on the waiting list!

Blame it on the fact that I'm getting older, or, blame it on my trip to Paris... Seems like lately, I've slowly given up on the uber trendy, rocker chic looks for more classic, demure and lady-like attires. Like a moth to a flame, I seem to be gravitating heavily towards form fitting trenches, A-line dresses and red lipsticks.

Which is why, I'm completely head over heels with Burberry's new Nude collection of classic trenches (with a twist). So beautifully cut and textured, a coat like one of these is not only hot right now, but is definitely worth the investment. Now, let's hope Holt Renfrew ordered a few of them... 'Cuz mommy needs one of these babies (got my eyes on #3).

Here I am, two weeks before my trip to Paris and all I can think about is planning my next trip... to NYC with la familia. I might have some serious issues I need to look into!

I'm really restraining myself from packing my suitcase now... Seems like days aren't going fast enough; two weeks feel like an eternity when you know you've got somewhere exciting to go.

I haven't been to Paris in years (my last memory was me, suitcase in hand, running after the shuttle bus to the airport... on the highway. Not quite the romantic memory you wanna leave with.)! For the first time in my life, I'll be visiting the City of Lights sans the family. Just me and Boyfriend, in the most romantic city.

Sure, we will look at the typical touristy attractions... but I'm really looking forward to just wakeup and live the Parisian life for ten days (which is why I'm so ecstatic that we will be staying in an apartment and not a typical hotel!).

I can't wait to walk the little streets, go treasure hunting at the flea market, devour some decadent macarons, sip on cafe au lait on the side walk... hey, I'm even excited to feel the rain! It will be Fall in Paris after all!

Until then, all I can do is dream about it, research on the best restaurants and shopping destinations, plan my wardrobe, upload inspiring songs for my Ipod, recharge my cameras, buy international adapters, exchange some dollars, save up every penny I have, watch Two Days In Paris or Amelie.... and wait for time to pass.

Can I feel anymore sorry? I really am sorry... I have been pretty M.I.A. for the past weeks in the blogging world. I blame this one on Boyfriend; he took the laptop with him on his business trips. Which, by the way, need to end... Now.

Sigh.

In the meantime, I've decided to spend a night or two at my mom's. After all, nobody takes care of you better when you have the sniffles! (And, I still got my ol' computer in my ol' bedroom!) I may have lost touch with my keyboard for a while but I haven't stopped living; I've tried plenty of delicious new restaurants, tried on tons of cool outfits and accessories and attended a few great shows and exhibits. I have this theory that it's OK, when you go shopping, to splurge on classics such as black trousers, the perfect pair of jeans, a white blouse, black pumps, a leather jacket, cashmere sweater, trench coat... You see where I'm going with that. But when it comes to trend-of-the-moment pieces, I refuse to spend all my pay checks on them. Usually, they only last about a season (mayyyyybe two) and then, they're done. They end up sitting in our closet looking like oh-so-yesterday.

I wasn't too sure what to think of this polka-dot trend a first... I mean, they've been around forever (for some reason I'm thinking about the 80's) and they always seem to make comebacks every couple of years. Are they considered classics like leopard prints are? Until I see them sticking around for more than one season, I'm still gonna think of them as a fad.

It seems like every designer, from Diane Von Furstenberg to Stella McCartney to D&G, is seeing spots this Fall. Thus, I decided to give the dots a chance and get my 80's (or early 90's) on. Tucked in my leather skirt for work or loose over black jeggings on weekends, the spotted print is surpringly versatile. Since I don't splurge on trendy pieces, Forever 21 was exactly to place to go!

The Met's exhibit of Alexander McQueen's Savage Beauty is coming to an end... to commemorate just how grand and amazing the show was, here are some behind the scenes pictures of it's catalogue (sold on the Met's website and on site).

Here's a look at Mr. Chanel's latest collaboration, this time with retail giant Macy's (wasn't he the one who bashed the other designers for collaborating with the high-street market?! Guess times are tough...?). A 45-pieces collection priced between 50$ and 70$, this line basically looks like what Karl would wear if he was a woman; from the high collar necks, cut-off leather gloves, tight leather pants, to tailored sheath dresses... and of course, his face on the basic tees and tanks. The office-friendly line will be available online and in over 235 Macy's stores on August 31.

I'm rarely impressed with personal-style blogs... Very few of them inspire me. Many of them just feel so phony; all those non-models pretending to be models... (Guess it explains why I refuse to "pose" for this blog, and how I simply like to display my outfits rather than my "supermodel" self. I am aware that I'm not a model and will not pretend to be one either! Lol)

I gotta sat though, Liz from Late Afternoon always gets me to stop for more than five seconds on her daily outfits (I read nearly a hundred blogs daily, thus I don't spend much time of each of them). I just love her way of playing with colors, breezy feminine looks and who ever's behind the lens is doing a great job at making everything look so effortless. Love!

What better occasion to introduce my new babies to the world than a cozy birthday dinner with all my favorite people! And by "babies", I do mean my new Brian Atwood Maniac pumps! I had been eyeing them for quite a while now and my 28th birthday was exactly the excuse I needed to get them (thanks to mommy's gift card... don't we all love gift cards?!).

In my opinion, there's no better way to age another year than to celebrate it with the people you love, surrounded with amazing food, a splash of iced mojitos and some good ol' classic rock as a soundtrack. My little get together at Tuck Shop was exactly what I would usually describe as the perfect dinner.

From homemade falafels, to pickled carrots & beets salad, to crispy pork belly and watermelon salad, to guinea fowl jerk stlye, to grilled skirt steaks with a cassis pepper sauce, to fresh beef tartare, to scallop skewers and finally crispy french fried.... The whole meal was shared family style, passing giant platters around. I'm (still) so full just thinking about it. (oh the best part, and to my delightful surprise, the chef made it all gluten free! Amazeballs!) It was a happy birthday indeed!

I would normally include more pictures of the delish food, but trust me, they don't do justice to just how good everything looked (and most of all tasted!).

The best experiences are the impromptu ones. Especially for me; I tend to get a little over organized with all my itineraries and lists... which usually leads to excess stress and a much needed dose of chamomile tea at 2pm (it calms you down apparently...).

My latest trip to New York City was definitely a spontaneous one; leaving in only a few hours, no plans (except a visit to the Met), no list, nothing I had to do. My main goal was of course to finally see the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibit... But I was truly looking forward to have some time alone, by myself, with the City.

After many warnings from previous visitors and friends of mine, I decided to wakeup extra early and line up in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Beads of sweat running down my back, iced cold Starbucks in hand, lining up outside in 40 degree weather (104 Fahrenheit... Keep in mind it was only 8:45 am!) was a testament of how bad I wanted to see McQueen's creations.

I know.... I've probably posted at least ten pictures of the Mexican Grilled Corn from Habana in previous posts. I just can't help it though... If I go to NYC, I must stop in that Nolita joint for some finger licking good (and dirt cheap) Cuban & Mexican treats. Just like the Met-line-up experience, knowing that this cramped little eatery is always packed and has no air conditioning, and still be willing to wait for a seat simply proves how high this place ranks on my best NYC restaurants list. Note to self: do not wear (again) a leather skirt while eating in a whole in the wall restaurant on a 48 degree (118 Fahrenheit) day... Thank God for the yummy frozen Mojitos!

Although it might be 40 degrees outside, where I work is unfortunately (or should I say, fortunately?) a real icebox. Therefore, I never really know what to wear to be comfortable in both the Equator and Antarctica. Of course, the whole layering technique works wonders, but sometimes, I do want to wear something other than thin cashmere cardigans over camis. So, why not dig out some light pieces from my Fall closet? Skipping the thick black tights and suede booties, I'm good to go! (Fine, I won't be sitting on a terrasse, sun blazing on me, with that outfit, but with the sleeves rolled up, it's perfect for work's AC and not sooo bad outside.... in the shade)

Guess what? It's sale season! Ok, so if you get too excited over it and don't think clearly, you might (actually, you will) end up with a whole bunch of crap you'll never wear and can't return. Thus, do no buy something just cause it's now 50% off, or just cause of the brand. It's time for some smart recessionista shopping.

Think of it this way, if you're an avid shopper like I am, you've probably spotted a few things during the year, but for some obvious reasons, cannot just buy everything! If you find those same items at 60% off a couple of months later and you still get the butterflies when you look at them, then that's worth it. However, too many times, us girls get so overwhelmed by the fact that it has a red tag attached to it, we don't even care if our (right) size is gone. We always try to convince ourselves that we can squeeze into a smaller size, or, think that a larger size will just give it a loose, casual look (It doesn't always work that way ladies).

So I was really happy when I found that leather dress I have been eyeing for over six months at 60% off! And in my size!! I've also been wanting leather shorts for over two years now... but, after trying a pair in L.A., I realized that I do not have the body type to wear that trend well (key word here is "well"). Boyfriend agreed, which proves an even bigger point; don't try to wear something that doesn't complement your best assets just for the sake of being trendy... sales or no sales. Now back to my leather shorts. Since those weren't an option anymore, finding that little black leather skirt at Zara, again at 60% off, was the perfect compromising.

In short, for a small fraction of the original prices, I was able to get my hands on pieces that not only can I wear now, but that can be carried all the way 'til next Spring (if not longer)! Add some thick black tights to the skirt, a nice little cardigan over the dress for Winter, a light leather jacket for cool Summer nights can also be used as a indoor jacket in the Winter, rain boots can be used all year round, and accessories are, well timeless!

Now that's smart shopping! (Trying to not make myself feel too too bad about spending...it's kinda working)

Whether it's at work with clients, over drinks with some girlfriends or through messages & emails from you guys, I'm often asked what products I use... in my hair, my face, my skin, etc. Well, I use alot of them; I'm a bit of a product junkie. However, I do have a few favorites I keep going back to. So, here are some of my preferred beauty products:

1- Nutricap Detangling Balm With Shea Butter: Best hair mask I've used so far... detangles, conditions my split ends and smells heavenly. (Available in most drugstores)

2- Fekkai's Marine Summer Hair Shampoo: I stock up every Summer. Leaves my hair squeeky clean and detoxed. But the best thing about it? It smells like the beach; a little coconuty, a little monoi, a little pina colada... (Available at Holt Renfrew & Sephora)

3- Clinique's Sparkle Skin Body Exfoliating Cream: gets rid gently of the dead skin while leaving a sparkly finish. The minty fragrance helps wakeup the senses in the morning! (Available in most department stores)

4- Creme de la Mer: Simply the best face cream I've ever used. I have been a fan since I was 17... I like using it as a bi-weekly mask. (Available at Holt Renfrew)

5- Darphin Chamomile Aromatic Care: I'm a sucker for essential oils. I rarely use cream (except in the Winter; I'm allergic to extreme cold weather), instead I slather tons of organic, nourishing and aromatherapeutic oils. Plus, chamomile helps the redness. (Available at Holt Renfrew)

6- Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate: again, essential oils! This one however is an elixir of pure distilled botanical oils. You wakeup with the perfect glow in the morning.

7- Darphin Intral Toner: Finally a toner that doesn't contain alcohol! This organic and botanical toner leaves my skin soft and keeps my poors tight. Again, the smell..... yum. (Available at Holt Renfrew)

8- Diptyque Feu De Bois Candle: Ok, so it's not a beauty product... but it's part of my beauty regiment. Nothing calms me down more, after a long day at work, like the woodsy smell of this candle. Fine... Maybe Boyfriend massaging my feet would do the trick, but a foot massage and Feu de Bois? Whoa. now we're talking. (Available at Holt Renfrew & Ogilvy)

9- Essencia Sweet Almond Oil: Best body moisturizer! Plus it doubles as a massage oil... *cough* right Boyfriend? (Available at Pharmaprix and health stores)

10- Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Bath Oil: The sweetest, cleanest smell you can find. In your bath, it turns your water into a silky milk, without leaving your tub greasy. And, you can use it as a dry oil on your body. Lightly scented, it just lingers all day... as if you keep coming out of the shower, over and over again. (Available at Holt Renfrew)

11- Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Finish: Been using it for years now. Have used it on many clients for photoshoots and weddings. This spray will keep your makeup intact from morning to night, and prevents any shiny noses & foreheads from, well, shining. (Only available online)

12- Clinique's City Block SPF 25 Sunblock: The least oily of all the face sunscreen I've tried (I tend to breakout when I use any other one). Perfect for sunny days in the city. (Available in most department stores)

13- Latisse Lash Serum: Well, what can I say about this magical potion... It's a miracle in a (extremely tiny) bottle. Made my lashes grow at least 3x its natural length, and grow thicker! This reminds me, I gotta go get another bottle! (Available online and Victoria Park Spa)

14- Guerlain Terracotta Eau Sous Le Vent: A lightly perfumed moisturizing spray that helps activate your natural tan. The perfect combination (with your SPF) for the perfect tan! (Available at Holt Renfrew)

15- Nars Sparkly Monoi Oil: If you're feeling a little green, this oil will definitely do the trick to add a little soleil to your skin. It leaves your legs and arms glowy all day. And again, if you can't get on to a plane to French Polynesia, this will take you there... while still staying here. (Available at Holt Renfrew & The Bay)

It's Paris Fashion Week. Chanel, Dior, Givenchy... They all came out. I must say though, I'm absolutely speechless with Elie Saab's Fall-Winter 2011 Couture show. Maybe it's the girly girl in me, or maybe I just already envy the celebs who will be sporting those creations, but my heart just melts looking at the soft palette, the sheer fabrics, the beading & the detailing. I usually only feel this way when I look at Marchesa dresses... Hopefully Rachel (Zoe) already snatched a few of them for her clients. I expect to see those gowns strolling down on the next red carpet event!

As much as I can be spontaneous once in a while, I tend to have very specific daily routines... whether it's watching an episode of Friends & The Golden Girls before bed (how can four lovely old ladies not relax you!), drinking my Emergen-C Super Orange at around 2:30pm for that afternoon boost, walking around the house in one of Boyfriend's Tee and boy shorts or listening to CCR, The Doors & The Beach Boys while cooking up a storm, those rituals tend to calm me down and actually, now that I think of it, make me really happy.

Another habit I have is watching the news in the morning as I straighten my hair, do my makeup and (maybe) quickly grab a bite. And by "the news" I of course mean TMZ. Yesterday morning however, I guess I was feeling pretty wild... Instead of turning on the TV to Harvey Levin, I decided to watch a rerun of Gossip Girl (I do live on the wild side sometimes........).

As a result, my demure outfit was strangely inspired by Upper Eastsider, Miss Blair Waldorf. It wasn't intentional though, I only noticed it once out the door (which turned out to be the perfect day-to-night enssemble). Good thing I didn't end up watching an episode of Behind The Music: Motley Crue... I'm sure my work wouldn't have enjoyed the outfit coming out of that.

I can feel it... I feel it in my muscles, in my skin, all the way to the roots of my hair; I need a vacation. Although I'm dying to go back to New York City, I know that's not what my body (and mind) needs right now. I need peace and tranquility. I need to just step back and breathe... just for a few days. We all need that at some point in the year. Which is why most of us end up in some Mexican or Cuban resort for a week.

I'll be honest with you, I'm not a big fan of all inclusive resorts. I find them to all be the same; same old buffets (usually not that tasty), same type of beaches, some ol' boring animations and cheesy music by the pool (not to mention all those annoying frat boys, douche bags and bimbos chugging cervezas & Miami Vices).

The only good thing I see in resorts is the fact that you're able to just do nothing and not worry about anything since all is taken care of for you. Which is why, the Aman Spa at Amangiri Resort in Utah is exactly what I need. It has everything I look for in a resort: peace, quiet, no party people, adults only, clean & modern, a five star spa & restaurant, private villas, breath taking landscape... Located in the state of Utah, its basically a destination in itself.

The Aman Spa at Amangiri resort is definitely not your typical "Spring Break" all inclusive. How about you just take a look for yourself.

One of the perks of my job is that I get to see (and sniff) all the newest stuff coming in next season. And that's exactly what I did when we received a sneak peek (or should I say, a sneak sniff?!) of Jo Malone's latest fragrance Wild Bluebell.

When I first smelled the (one and only) tiny little sample we got, it first reminded me of this perfume I used to wear when I was in high school. Most girls from my generation knows it; Gap Dream (circa 1995. The collection also included Gap Heaven & Gap So Pink). Gap Dream featured some freesia, orange blossom, violet and lily-of-the-valley.

Now fast forward sixteen years, and a much better expertise in the art of perfumery, the reason why Wild Bluebell reminded me of the defunct Gap scent is probably its fresh green notes as well as its florals (such as, drumroll, Lily-of-The-Valley!). At first, it was kinda hard to pin point what it smelled like, what it reminded me of (besides Gap Dream of course). It kinda had a cucumber scent, as well as a water melon scent... So, I did my research. What are wild bluebells anyways?

Well, Bluebell is a wild forest flower (endangered in England) and its scent provides a moist echo of Summer forests. Not to worry though (yes, all you Green Peace advocates, you can put your armors down), Jo Malone did not use genuine bluebells for its composition... its recreation is based on a variety of different notes. May I also add that Jo Malone gave a donation to the Woodland Trust?! (Green Peace rejoice!)

With such a fresh summery scent, why didn't they launch Wild Bluebell for the Summer is beyond me... Guess we'll just have to wait for its launch, on September 1rst 2011.

I must say, this was love at first sniff.
